Best Practices Guide

Comprehensive best practices for BZ self-priming pumps based on field experience from thousands of installations worldwide.

1. Pre-Installation Best Practices

Conduct thorough site evaluation before installation. Verify foundation can support pump weight plus dynamic loads (minimum 3x static weight). Ensure ambient temperature remains within -10°C to +40°C range.

2. Installation Excellence

Laser alignment recommended for all installations. Parallel misalignment ≤0.05mm, angular misalignment ≤0.05mm/m. Perform alignment at operating temperature when possible.

3. Maintenance Best Practices

Use lithium complex EP2 grease. Regrease every 500 operating hours or quarterly. Clean grease fitting before adding fresh grease.

4. Operational Excellence

Operate at 80-110% of BEP for maximum efficiency. Monitor bearing temperature (<75°C), vibration (<2.8 mm/s), and motor current (≤ FLA).
