Product Overview
The PBG Vertical Canned Clean Water Pump series adopts advanced canned motor in-line pump design concepts. By integrating the motor shielding technology into the liquid delivery system, the motor and hydraulic section are combined into a single sealed unit, offering high-reliability, low-noise clean water handling capabilities that meet the needs of industrial and municipal clean water processing.
This series complies with ISO 2858 and JB/T 6878.2-93 standards. With a standardized design, high interchangeability, reasonable structure, stable performance, low operating noise, and minimal vibration, PBG pumps serve as ideal alternatives to traditional horizontal centrifugal pumps and vertical in-line pumps.

Engineering Overview
The PBG series is a vertical single-stage, single-suction centrifugal pump, configured with a canned motor. The stator and rotor are completely isolated by a shielding sleeve, eliminating the need for traditional shaft seals. The liquid itself acts as both bearing lubrication and motor cooling fluid, enabling the pump to operate leak-free.
The full series includes 67 pump models and 184 specifications, covering the following performance ranges:

Operating Manual
1. Operation & Running
-
Check Fasteners: Before installation, inspect the pump for any foreign objects blocking the flow passage and ensure all fasteners are securely tightened to prevent damage to the impeller or pump body during operation.
-
Pipe Support: The weight of the pipes should not be supported directly by the pump. Use independent support for the pipes to avoid deformation of the pump and potential performance and service life issues.
-
Install Filter: Install a filter with an area 3–4 times larger than the suction pipe cross-section before the pump inlet to prevent impurities from entering and clogging the flow passage.
-
Hot Water Applications: When the pump is used for hot water, to prevent the pump from bearing thermal deformation stress, the pump base bolts can remain unfixed. This allows the pump to move with the piping during thermal expansion and contraction.
2. Maintenance & Care
-
Regular Monitoring and Records: Regularly record changes in supply voltage and voltage imbalance. Overvoltage, undervoltage, or three-phase voltage imbalance can cause overheating or other abnormalities in the motor.
-
Load and Temperature Monitoring: Keep track of the load current and temperature rise of the pump. Any excessive increase in current could indicate failure, causing motor overheating.
-
Fluid Temperature Records: Regularly record the liquid temperature in the pipeline to ensure it is below or equal to the temperature specified on the nameplate, preventing the pump from running in an over-temperature state and reducing motor lifespan.

3. Pump Start-up & Operation

Water Filling and Venting: Ensure the pump chamber is fully filled with liquid before starting. Open the inlet valve, and the top vent valve of the motor. Close the vent valve after the liquid flows out.

Throttle Control: Close the outlet valve to reduce starting current. Check if all components are functioning normally.

Start Motor: Connect the power supply and confirm the correct direction of rotation.

Adjust Outlet Valve: Gradually open the outlet valve to bring the pump into operation within its rated performance range.

4. Stopping and Long-Term Storage

Regularly check and measure the gap between the graphite bearing and the shaft sleeve to ensure uniform clearance between the stator shield sleeve and the rotor shield sleeve, ensuring reliable operation. Generally, the standards in the following table serve as the limit; if the measurements exceed the specified range, repair or replacement should be performed.
