QJB Submersible Mixer – Wastewater Treatment Mixing Equipment type

Product Overview

QJB submersible mixer is a key piece of equipment in wastewater treatment processes. It is used to achieve uniform mixing and circulation of solid–liquid two-phase flow or solid–liquid–gas three-phase flow during biological treatment. The mixer consists of a submersible motor, impeller and mounting system, and adopts a direct-drive structure.
Compared with traditional large-power motors with gear reducers, it features a more compact structure, lower energy consumption and easier maintenance.
The impeller is precision cast or stamped for high accuracy and high thrust, with a streamlined profile that is both efficient and aesthetically clean. This series is designed for applications requiring intensive solid–liquid mixing and homogenization. A schematic structure diagram is shown below:

Applications

QJB submersible mixers are mainly used for mixing, agitation and circulation in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment processes. They can also be used as circulation and water quality maintenance equipment in landscape water bodies, where the generated flow improves water quality, increases dissolved oxygen and effectively prevents the settling of suspended solids.

Operating Conditions

To ensure reliable operation of the QJB submersible mixer, the correct operating environment and running mode must be selected:

  • Medium temperature ≤ 40 °C
  • Medium pH range: 5–9
  • Medium density ≤ 1150 kg/m³
  • Submergence depth ≤ 10 m

Important: The QJB submersible mixer must operate fully submerged and must not be used in flammable, explosive, highly corrosive or high-temperature environments. For special operating conditions, customized designs can be provided on request.

Selection Guide

Selection of a QJB submersible mixer is a relatively complex task, and a correct selection has a direct impact on system performance and reliability. The basic principle is to ensure that the mixer delivers adequate mixing performance within the specified tank volume, which is generally evaluated by flow velocity.

According to typical process requirements in wastewater treatment plants, the design flow velocity for mixer selection should be in the range of 0.15–0.30 m/s. When the velocity is lower than 0.15 m/s, sufficient propulsion and mixing cannot be achieved; when it exceeds 0.30 m/s, process performance may be affected and energy will be wasted.

Therefore, before selection it is necessary to determine the application location, such as wastewater tank, sludge tank or biological tank; then define the medium properties, including suspended solids content, temperature and pH value; and consider tank geometry, water depth and installation method, all of which will influence the selection. Energy efficiency should also be taken into account, as it affects long-term operating cost. Refer to the typical flow field diagrams of submersible mixers for guidance.

To meet the mixing requirements under different operating conditions, we provide a wide range of QJB submersible mixer models and can offer professional selection support and engineering advice on request.
