Product Overview
ZW / ZWL Non-Clogging Self-Priming Sewage Pump is a horizontal, self-priming centrifugal pump with non-clog impeller design, developed for solid-laden wastewater transfer without external priming systems.
It solves priming difficulties and clogging risks in sewage handling systems where intermittent operation or fluctuating liquid levels occur.
It is suitable for municipal drainage stations, industrial wastewater pits, emergency flood control, and mobile pumping applications.
Model Designation
Applications
- Sewage collection pits with fluctuating liquid levels
- Industrial wastewater transfer containing suspended solids
- Emergency flood drainage and municipal stormwater removal
- Construction site dewatering with solid impurities
- Agricultural irrigation water with debris content
Engineering Advantages
- Integrated self-priming chamber structure enables rapid air-liquid separation and reliable suction lift capability.
- Semi-open non-clog impeller reduces blockage risk under solid-laden conditions.
- Short axial structure and rigid shaft support improve operational stability under intermittent duty.
- Replaceable wear components (seal rings, impeller) facilitate maintenance in sewage environments.
- Hydraulic design balances suction performance and solid-passing capacity for stable wastewater transfer.

How to Select a Pump Model
- Determine required suction lift and verify it is within allowable self-priming capability.
- Confirm maximum particle size and solid concentration in the medium.
- Select flow and head ensuring duty point falls within stable hydraulic region.
- Verify installation type (fixed station or mobile unit).
- Consider standby configuration for critical drainage systems.
Engineering Notes
- Not suitable for high-viscosity sludge beyond hydraulic design limits.
- Extended suction pipelines require airtight sealing to maintain priming reliability.
- Long shutdown periods may require re-priming inspection before restart.
- Check valve installation is recommended to prevent reverse flow.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Factory hydraulic performance testing
- Casing hydrostatic pressure test
- Impeller dynamic balance inspection
- Shaft alignment and vibration verification
- Material traceability documentation
Safety Notice
- Do not operate under dry-running condition
- Ensure suction system is airtight before startup
- Disconnect power before maintenance
- Do not exceed rated discharge pressure
OEM & Customization
This pump series supports engineered configuration and duty-based matching. Technical adjustments can be made according to system requirements and installation conditions.
- Available options include:
- Motor voltage & frequency
- Mechanical seal type and configuration
- Wetted parts material selection
- Surface coating and corrosion protection
Configuration is determined based on duty point and project specifications.
FAQs
- Q: Can the pump operate under VFD control?
A: Yes, within rated hydraulic and suction performance limits. - Q: What is the maximum allowable solid size?
A: Depends on model size and impeller passage; confirm per performance table. - Q: What sealing options are available?
A: Mechanical seal is standard; packing seal optional. - Q: What is the allowable suction lift?
A: Maximum suction lift depends on installation conditions and priming structure. - Q: Is it suitable for continuous duty?
A: Yes, provided solids content remains within design limits. - Q: What working pressure is permitted?
A: Maximum working pressure is 1.6 MPa.
